Crown artist
My name is Vincent Pereira—alias Crown*—and I am a contemporary painter and illustrator based in Paris.
Originally from Brive-la-Gaillarde, where I was born in 1998, art has always been a part of my life. I haven’t put down my brushes or pencils since childhood; creating has become the most natural way for me to express what I feel.
My work sits at the intersection of contemporary painting, abstraction, and figuration. I enjoy blending emotions, colors, and textures to create original pieces inspired by music, scenes from everyday life, and the visual culture that surrounds me.
Music plays a vital role in my creative process. I compose my paintings much like a piece of music—building them through rhythms, contrasts, and layering. This patchwork of elements gradually shapes my artistic universe.
Alongside my paintings, I am developing a character inspired by the worlds of cartoons and comic books—an aesthetic that has stayed with me since childhood and continues to fuel my imagination today.
Recent years have brought many changes: new cities, new rhythms of life, new encounters, and the transition into adulthood. My art often serves as a visual diary where I translate my thoughts, emotions, and memories.
Always seeking new forms of expression, I love exploring different techniques and materials. Recently, I have ventured into 3D modeling, 3D printing, and textile creation to further expand my artistic language.
What drives me above all is color and the gaze. I enjoy playing with contrasts, expressions, and atmospheres to create sensitive, spontaneous works where the eyes tell as much of a story as the colors do.
Beneath the vibrant hues, there is often a touch of melancholy—a balance between joy and nostalgia, energy and gentleness—that runs through every one of my creations.
Welcome to my world.
